We begin with silence. Then we trace the arc of our expression through motivated movement, our truth articulated by our acting and physicality. While we add sound, the color of our voices, the resonance of music, the vibration, the hum of our natural world; we pierce the darkness with light and pictures, we intertwine ourselves among the theatrical sculptures placed on stage as we tell our stories raw and unfiltered in the uniqueness of us, the exceptionality of each individual combined . . .

This is APT / American Physical Theater

APT was founded in 2024 by Arthur Yorinks from the work begun in 2022 by Yorinks and a group of enormously gifted physical actors (our Performing Company). Utilizing the performers’ many talents and folding in the extensive and wide-ranging career Yorinks has had in the literary and performing arts, APT brings a wholly distinctive voice to the current theatrical landscape. This collective creates and performs work unlike any other. Compelling, edgy, deeply moving and beautiful, this diverse company with decades of international performance experience have formed an uniquely American theater company - APT.
